Unipol Assicurazioni S.p.A. was founded in 2014 via the merger of three of Italy’s leading insurers: Fondiaria-Sai, Unipol Assicurazioni and Milano Assicurazioni, which created one of the largest insurance and financial institutions in Italy. 

Unipol holds a leading position in the national insurance market, with a direct collection totaling approximately 15.1 billion euros in 2023, comprising 8.7 billion euros in Non-Life and 6.4 billion euros in Life insurance. Operating through Italy’s largest agency network, Unipol boasts 1,991 insurance agencies and 5,213 sub-agencies nationwide
