Marco Giacomelli
Head of IGP Employee Benefits Network
Marco Giacomelli heads the IGP global employee benefits network.
Prior to joining IGP in 2021, Marco was an actuary and former Navy officer with a 30-year career in the global insurance market, with assignments of increasing responsibility in Italy, USA, Philippines, Belgium and United Kingdom.
Marco’s career includes several leadership roles in the Assicurazioni Generali group, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Generali Global Health (UK) and Chief Insurance Officer of the Generali Employee Benefits network.
Marco is the former Chairman of the International Employee Benefits Association (IEBA), and a Fellow of the UK Institute of Directors.
Wim Moldenaers
Head of Network Partner Management
Wim Moldenaers is the Head of Network Partner Management and is the relationship manager for IGP’s existing and new partners globally.
Wim started his career at IGP’s regional office in Brussels in 1992, first in a support function in the business development department before becoming an account manager dealing directly with multinationals and their global and local advisors. Wim moved to Thomson Financial Services dealing directly with the trading rooms in the leading banks in the UK, the Benelux and the Nordics.
Wim rejoined IGP’s office in Brussels at the end of 1998 in a commercial function and became part of IGP’s Management Team in 2012 when he became responsible for part of the business development team.
In 2021, Wim changed his role and became the relationship manager for IGP’s existing and new Network Partners, initially for the EMEA region, but quickly the role become global working closely with IGP’s Regional Heads in the Far East and Latam.
Wim has 30 years experience in the employee benefit world and is combining his commercial experience with his technical/actuarial knowledge to continue to grow the IGP network.
Wim holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from the University of Leuven (Belgium), and a Master degree in Economics from Odisee in Brussels (Belgium). He also has an actuarial diploma from INSERT, the competence center of Assuralia, the professional association of the Belgian insurers.
Brian D McCarthy
Head of Business Development – Multinational Pooling
Brian is Head of Business Development for multinational pooling at IGP.
Brian is Head of Business Development for multinational pooling at IGP. In this role, he coordinates the marketing and delivery of IGP's products and services to more than 800 global clients and their advisors. He has more than 35 experience in the international benefits industry and holds a B.S. in Finance from Boston College. He is located at IGP’s headquarters in Boston.
Tamara Laanen
Head of Business Development – Captive & Global Underwriting Programs
Tamara Laanen leads the IGP Center of Expertise for Reinsurance to Captive and Global Underwriting Programs.
Tamara Laanen is an accomplished team leader in the field of Employee Benefits, starting within the IGP Account Development Team in 2004, and quickly thereafter taking on a leadership role where she was nominated for the Global Manulife Leadership Impact Award.
Advanced Employee Benefits solutions such as Reinsurance to Captives and Global Underwriting Programs have for many years been her area of interest & focus, directly resulting in Tamara playing a key role in the set-up of the IGP Center of Expertise where her drive for excellence has become even more visible to the external market.
Tamara has an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for solutions and simplicity/efficiency (both digital and non-digital) and is driven by creating positive experiences, whether it is for customers, colleagues, or her friends & family.
With her ‘can do’ attitude and high energy, she encourages others to bring their best every day and succeed both personally and professionally.
Tamara holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Western Carolina University, in NC / USA, and a Bachelor of Economics from the Avans University of Applied Sciences, in The Netherlands.
Eric Chew
Regional Director - APAC
Eric Chew is Regional Head of IGP, overseeing IGP Asia business operations ranging from products & services, reinsurance solutions, network partners relationship management, advisory firms management and technical pricing & review advice.
Eric joined IGP in June 2019 with over 25 years of insurance experience. He is an industry leader in the field of international employee benefits management, and often uses a customer-centric approach in developing and delivering client solutions. Prior to his current role, Eric was the Head of Group Insurance Marketing for Great Eastern Life Assurance Singapore. Between 2010 and 2018, he worked at several Tier 1 global reinsurance companies holding the post of Deputy Head of Southeast Asia (SEA) and Head of Group Business SEA. In these roles, he drove the reinsurers’ Group Life strategy on Group Employee Benefits, Group Affinity and Group Credit Life. He consolidated the reinsurer leading group position in key SEA markets while dynamically expanded the reinsurer footprint in other targeted markets.
With vast reinsurance, product and pricing knowledge, Eric mentors the IGP team members to ensure they’re being equipped with a holistic skill set of market, regulatory, products, operation, administrative and client management knowledge.
Eric holds a BSc. in Business Studies (Actuarial) from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and a Msc in Actuarial Management from University of Kent, UK. He is a member of the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries.
Michael Spincemaille
Regional Director - LATAM
Michael Spincemaille is IGP’s Regional Director for Latin America. Michael is based at the offices of our Mexican Network Partner, Seguros Monterrey New York Life, in Mexico City.
Appointed as Regional Director LATAM in 2012, Michael has worked diligently expanding IGP’s footprint in the region. His comprehensive knowledge of the market, coupled with his passion for helping others, has allowed him to effectively navigate the ever-changing landscape of the global employee benefits industry. Michael’s commitment to excellence and his ability to build strong relationships with our network partners, clients and brokers have made him a trusted go-to person in the region.
Michael started his career at Citigroup in Hong Kong where he worked for several years as a Forex trader. He joined IGP in 2007 as an Account Analyst and quickly worked his way up the ranks to an Account Executive. In 2012 Michael was selected for an expat assignment tasked with establishing and providing ongoing management of the IGP Regional Office in Bogotá, Colombia. The area of operation included 17 countries in Central America, South America, and Mexico. In 2016 Michael served an interim leadership role simultaneously managing the LATAM and Asia Pacific (APAC) regional offices.
With a strong educational background, Michael holds a Bachelor of International Business from Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. Michael further holds a degree in Finance from the University of Hong Kong and completed an Executive MBA program at the Vlerick Business School in 2023. Throughout his career, Michael has continuously sought to expand his knowledge and skills. He actively participates in industry conferences and workshops, ensuring he stays up to date with the latest trends and developments.
David Bisch
Head of Technical Services
Dave is Head of Technical Services and Underwriting at IGP.
David has been working in the the Group Benefits industry since the mid nineties in a variety of leadership, business analysis and risk management roles. David has lead the IGP Technical Services & Underwriting team since 2014, accountable for all facets of IGP portfolio risk management, product development and key strategic technology initiatives.
David graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BA in Economics and is located in IGP’s office in Waterloo, Canada.
Michael M. Fontaine
Head of Administration
Michael Fontaine is the Head of Administration.
Michael has been with John Hancock since 2006, where he was the Director of Financial Reporting for the Accident and Health business unit until 2013. In 2010-2011, Michael became the Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis for both the A&H Unit and IGP. Michael’s experience within IGP helped to catapult him into his current role as Head of Administration when he took over the Administration operation in 2013.
Michael has held numerous roles within the accounting arena for a number of insurance companies specializing in reinsurance accounting, NAIC accounting, GAAP accounting and taxation. During Michael’s tenure prior to John Hancock, he assumed ever increasing leadership responsibilities which have contributed to his success in his current role.
Michael graduated from Bryant College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting and subsequently obtained an MBA from Bryant College with a concentration in taxation. Michael lives in Smithfield RI and is an avid tennis player.
Deb Griffin
Head of IGP Legal & Compliance, Senior Counsel
Deb Griffin heads the IGP Legal and Compliance Team.
Deb first joined John Hancock in 1995.
Prior to joining IGP in 1999, Deb held a position in John Hancock’s Office of Business Conduct where she was responsible for Market Conduct analysis, compliance enforcement and responding to inquiries from the Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Insurance as well as other relevant regulatory agencies.
In her role as Head of IGP Legal and Compliance, Deb oversees the IGP compliance program. Deb, along with her team, is responsible for regulatory compliance, assessing legal and compliance risks, contract drafting, the vetting and on-boarding of new counterparties, acting as a liaison between corporate legal and compliance teams and the IGP business.
Deb holds a juris doctorate and is a member in good standing of the Massachusetts Bar (active), the Rhode Island Bar, she is admitted to the Federal Bar for the United States Supreme Court, the Massachusetts Reinsurance Bar, and is a member of ARIAS (American Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society).
Britt Verhoeven
Head of Account Coordination
Britt Verhoeven is Head of Account Coordination at IGP Europe in Brussels, Belgium.
Britt has a Master’s degree in Translator English and Russian. She started her carreer at IGP Europe in 2000 as Pooling Coordinator. After 10 years, she changed responsibilities and became the Business Development Manager dealing with multinationals in the Benelux, Ireland and Denmark.
In 2016, she was promoted to Assistant Director – Account Development (Support) and later on to Head of Account Coordination. Britt’s team is responsible for the account support on IGP International Accounts for European Multinationals and European Headquarters of all non-European multinationals. She is also IGP’s Training Coordinator, responsible for internal workshops as well as the IGP Network Partner Academy.
Kelly Yoon
Head of Account Coordination
Kelly Yoon is Head of Account Coordination at IGP Boston.
Kelly started her career with IGP in the Account Development area in a supporting role after finishing her undergraduate studies from Boston College. Since joining in 2001, she worked in tandem with a number of business development managers to service multinational companies in the U.S. and in Asia. Kelly has experience with prospects and clients of all sizes, assisting them through the implementation process and providing innovative solutions to their specific needs in maintaining and expanding a pool.
Kelly became part of the IGP Management Team as Assistant Director of Account Development (Support) in 2021 and currently manages a team of Account Coordinators in North America.
Inge Luyten
Head of Marketing & Communications
Inge Luyten is the Head of Marketing & Communication, located at the Brussels office. In this role, Inge oversees the marketing, communications, events and social media activities of IGP globally.
Since she started her professional career in 1994 with IGP, Inge held positions in different commercial and marketing roles. Since 2022, she manages the IGP marketing team and oversees the marketing, communications, events and social media activities of IGP globally – always with a digital mindset, partnering closely with the other divisions within IGP as well as the IGP Network Partners.
Inge was one of the first developers of IGP’s internal and external training programs as well as a pioneer in IGP’s captive development and a major contributor to the enhancements of the IGP captive bordereaux and administrative platform. She is also the driver in many of IGP’s digital projects.
Inge holds a Master’s Degree in Commercial Sciences from the Catholic University of Louvain, as well as certificates for several digital applications as she is continuously looking for opportunities to learn and build skills and knowledge.
In 2020, she was named one of Manulife’s Stars of Excellence.
Gerald Sneiders
Head of Finance & Operations, EMEA
Gerald Sneiders heads up the Finance & Operations team at the IGP Europe office based in Brussels, Belgium
Gerald joined IGP Europe in 1990 after having gained a first 6-year experience at the Trammel Crow Company.
Appointed director in 2006 and AVP in 2011, he has held various positions with increasing responsibility covering a broad number of areas such as Finance, HR, ICT, and operations.
Gerald holds degrees and certifications from EHSAL (now part of the Leuven University) and HOBU (Hogeschool-Universiteit), both located in Brussels with further specializations in ICT (Philips) and accounting expertise obtained during his working career.
