PFA Pension was founded in 1917 by employers’ and employees’ organizations with the purpose of ensuring financial security for employees and their families. The owners of PFA Pension decided that they were only to receive a very limited part of the profit. This remains the core of PFA’s business model, which means the majority of the value PFA generates, is returned to the customers via PFA CustomerCapital.
Today, PFA provides pension and insurance solutions to more than 1.3 million customers and 6,000 corporate and organisational customers. With approximately DKK 580 billion in customer funds, PFA cemented its position as Denmark’s largest commercial pension company.1
